- Load up some Vanilla Reload cards at $500 each. Each one will have a $4.95 sign up fee.
- Go to paypal.com/cash and enter the pin number that’s on the back of your card.
- Check your account balance.
- Transfer the money to your bank account to pay bills or to use your PayPal balance to pay friends or clients, or to buy things online.
Essentially, what you’ve done here is bought 5,000 miles for $39.50. That’s a mileage value of .008/mile, which is pretty darn good considering that most miles are valued at about .002 each. That’s pretty good!
If you’re working to hit mileage sign up bonuses, this method can help you hit some of the harder ones without spending tens of thousands of dollars in a couple of months.
Do be careful as PayPal is quite nasty about freezing and shutting down accounts they disapprove of. If you use this method often, you run the risk that PayPal will flag your account and shut it down for good! Not fun.
